Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Jisa, 85, Route 3, Luxemburg, died Saturday evening at a Green Bay nursing home. The former Mary Hoida was born July 6, 1892 at Menominiee, Mich. to the late Joseph and Anna Buresh Hoida. She married Joseph Jisa on Feb. 6, 1917 at Pilsen, Wi. The couple farmed in the Town of Montpelier. Mrs. Jisa was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pilsen, and the Rosary Society of the church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Chesner, Menomonee Falls, WI; Mrs. Donald (Lillian) Challis, Green Bay; Mrs. William (Alice) Selner, Rt. 3 Luxemburg; Mrs. Orville (Emily) Heemstra, West Allis; one son, George, Rt. 2, Kewaunee; one brother, Matt Hoida, Rt. 3, Luxmeburg; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Batch, Mrs. Ed (Anna) Breska; Mrs. Ben (Emily) Loneske, all of Milwaukee; Mrs. Estelle Quass, Green Bay; Mrs.Alfred (Catherine) Wellens, DePere; 31 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, Sept. 19, 1977; one daughter, Agnes; one grandson and two sisters.

Friends may call at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg after 3 p.m. today. Rosary 8:30 tonight by the Rev. John Johanek. Rosary 9 tonight by the Rosary Society. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, Pilsen, with the Rev. Johanek officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
