Marian Mannes, 85, of Holland, died Thursday, May 15, 1997 in a local nursing home.
Born in Zeeland, she was a member of Prospect Park Christian Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1990; a grandson, David DeFrell; and two great grandchildren, Jason Kamps and Allison Kamps.
Surviving are her children, Carol and Vernon Johnson, Arlene and Elmer DeFrell, and Gayle and Carl Nykamp, all of Holland; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Dyksterhouse, Alma Vanden Bos, and Bernice Muilenberg, all of Grand Rapids; brothers, Don and Ruth Breen of Grand Rapids, Raymond and Geri Breen of Bauldwin, and Robert Breen of Arizona; sisters in law, Margaret Mannes and Evelyn Mannes of Zeeland; a brother Herman Steenwyk of Grand Rapids; nieces, Nephews, and cousins.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes Inc., 295 Douglas Ave., with the Rev. Peter Winkle officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visiting is 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be made ot Holland Christian Schools.
