VANDEN BOS - Mrs. Alma Vanden Bos, age 94, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kommer (Tom) Vanden Bos, sisters, Marian Mannes, Evelyn Lapham, Clara Selvius Dyksterhouse, brothers, Don, Bob and Paul Breen, grandson, Brian Lee Vanden Bos and great granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Vander Sloot. Surviving are her children, Thomas and Jackie Vanden Bos of Grand Rapids, Barbara and Thomas Vander Sloot of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Raymond (Gerie) Breen; sister, Bernice Muilenburg of Grand Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Remembrance Reformed Church, 4575 Remembrance NW with interment in Washington Park Memorial Gardens. Friends may meet the family at Heritage Lifestory Funeral Home, Van't Hof Chapel, 851 Leonard NW on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
