She was born on March 28, 1912 in Pottsville, Ark. Her parents were D. E. "Duffie" and Verlon Ann Jones Kinslow. She graduated from Pottsville High School in 1930. She married Thomas Grady Scott on August 9, 1930 in Pottsville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1990. She moved from Arkansas to the South Plains in 1935. She was a homemaker for several years. She graduated from Draughans Business College. She was employed by Milams Toyland in Lubbock before moving to Las Vegas, N.M. She was employed by Montgomery Ward in Las Vegas, N.M. and in Lubbock where she retired in 1977. She later lived in Floyd Knobs, Ind. for a few years and returned to Lubbock in the 1980s. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church from youth until her death. She was a member of the Friendship Sunday school class and the Lydia Circle of the Lubbock Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband, Grady Scott, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dana Kinslow Loveless in 1995, and a brother, E.J. Kinslow in 2001. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Scott Libs of Floyd Knobs, Ind.; a son, Joe Bob Scott of Lubbock; three brothers, Robert Kinslow of Kingman, Ariz., Aaron Kinslow and Benn Kinslow both of Lubbock; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
