Mildred, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Saturday but we are comforted by the knowledge that she is in the arms of her beau of 61 years, Robert, and they are holding their baby boy, Jimmy, who she hasn't seen since February 1953. She was born the daughter of Edward & Irene Elliott. Mildred married Robert Boylan on Aug. 7, 1948, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Madison. Our "little lady" was always up for the next adventure and we all loved every minute together. She loved spending time with her family and friends, dancing, bowling and golfing. Mildred got to as many of her grandchildren's shows and sporting events as she could. She loved a good party and was never in a hurry to go home. Mildred was a charter member of St. Dennis Catholic Church and Altar Society. She also was a member of the St. Dennis Birthday Club, and was a volunteer at Karmenta Center for years and the St. Dennis annual festival since its inception.
Mildred is survived by three sons, four daughters, a daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, 10 grandchildren; two stepgranddaughters; six great-grandsons; a brother and his wife, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, numerous other relatives and friends; and her best friend forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a son, James Michael; her parents; two brothers and their spouses, Michael (Mary) Elliott and Joseph (Marion) Elliott; two sisters and their spouses, Vivian (Owen) Roach and Marcella (Ed) McWilliams; a brother-in-law, Herb Wilkinson; and sister and brother-in-law, Cecelia (Everett) Liddicoat.
