Gene L. Sheffer
GLEN ROCK - Gene (Lau) Sheffer, 87, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Guy U. Sheffer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no viewing and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Sheffer was born February 17, 1918, in Glen Rock, a daughter of the late Earl and Mabel (Herbst) Lau.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Alan G. Sheffer of Glenshaw; two grandsons, Scott G. Sheffer and Michael B. Sheffer; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Deveney and Sue Ann Deffendall, both of Glen Rock.
She was also preceded in death by a son, E. Michael Sheffer.
