He came to Odessa in 1898 and married Mary Greenwalt in 1901. They settled on a farm between Odessa and Ritzville, making their home there for 14 years before moving to Montana for a short time. They returned to Odessa and lived here until going to Wenatchee six years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Lobe had continued their membership in the UCC here. Surviving are his wife, Mary, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 27 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Burial in the Odessa Cemetery. ref: Odessa Record 15 Sept 1949 [excerpt]
