Eckhart, Alma, (d. 1981; b. 1908; TS; OC) "Funeral service for Alma M. Eckhart, 73, of Okanogan was 2 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church in Wilson Creek, with Rev Edwin Allabough officiating. Burial was at Odessa Cemetery with local arrangements under the direction of Chapel of Memories funeral home. Mrs. Eckhart died Nov 5 at Samaritan Hospital. She was born Sept 2, 1908 in Ritzville and resided in the Wilson Creek area for many years. She married David Eckhart who preceded her in death in May 1966. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lola, in April 1973. Mrs. Eckhart was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Okanogan. She is survived by four sons, Allan Eckhart of Soap Lake, LaVern Eckhart of St Paul, MN, Gerald Eckhart of Wilson Creek and Larry Eckhart of Ephrata; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Babcock of Spokane, Mrs. Mille Sieverkropp of Cheney and Mrs. Emma Albashart of Cheney; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and various nieces and nephews." She and her husband, the late David Eckhart, had lived in the Wilson Creek and Marlin areas for more than 50 years. Mrs. Eckhart was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Okanogan. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956, and a daughter in 1973. Survivors include four sons: Allan of Soap Lake, WA; LaVern of St Paul; Gerald of Wilson Creek; and Larry of Ephrata; three sisters: Mrs. Ida Babcock of Spokane; Mrs. Millie Sieverkropp and Mrs. Emma Albashart, both of Cheney; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
