John "Jack" C. Waxler, 82, of St. Petersburg, FL, and formerly of Beloit, WI, died in St. Petersburg. He was born in Olney , IL the son of Fred and Mary Jane Allen Waxler. He graduated from Northwestern University. he was a Lieutenant Commander in the U. S. Navy during W.W. II. He was communications liasion officer between the Navy and General Douglas MacCarthur;s staff, and was present at the final signing of the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay. He married Edna Bakkemo June 29, 1935. They had two Children, Marilyn Waxler and John Cummings Waxler II. Edna died in September 1994. Jack married ,Dorothy Bailey December 12, 1962.
