Jim Waxler, 89, originally of Olney, IL, except for 1952-1962 when he lived in Socorro, he had resided in Albuquerque since the mid 1920's. He is survived by one sister, Janey Gregg of Magdalena, NM; a son Byron of Rio Rancho, and a daughter Charlotte DeHart of Barstow, CA. he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann and wife, Helen. Jim graduated from Alburquerque High school in 1929 and was a member of UNM classes of 1936. He operated a Chevron service station at the corner of 12th and Central Ave. SW for many years, up until 1952 when he moved to Socorro to operate the Texaco Bulk Plant.He was a tour guied with Albuquerque's Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Member of First Presbyterian Church. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park with Masonic Lodge #68 officiating.
