OBITUARY
Ruby Lee Van Beber, age 88, of Clarksville, TN passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 in the Clarksville Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 7, 1921 in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of the late William Jesse and Carrie Massengill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, LTC Bill Ed Van Beber, Sr., (US Army Ret). Mrs. Van Beber was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children; Bill (Vivian) Van Beber, Jr., Clarksville; Richard (Donna) Van Beber, Milton, Fla.; Sisters, Mrs. Don (Thelma) Williams, Louisville; Mrs. Evertt (Wilma) Mays, Helen Harris, and Mrs. James (Suzi) Pursifull, all of Middlesboro, KY; brothers; Calloway Arthur Massengill, Harold Massengill, both of Middlesboro, KY.; grandsons; Bill (Rebecca) Van Beber, III, Clarksville; Paul (Melanie) Van Beber, Oklahoma; Mark (Marie) Van Beber, Guthrie, KY; granddaughter, Beth (Jay) Fowler, Clarksville; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Van Beber, Jenna Van Beber, Aren Eckstein, Clarksville; Jake Van Beber, New York; Brayden Van Beber, Oklahoma; and Tommy Van Beber, Guthrie, KY.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. P. Branham officiating. Burial will follow at the Middlesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Shumate Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 516 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
