Son of Rev. Amos and Mary Catherine 'Molly' (Hair/Hare) Caudle. Being their 3rd known child and 1st born son.

He was born in North Carolina but by the time he was Y years of age was living in Missouri.

He was united in marriage with Margaret Ann "Maggie" Barnett on September 28, 1890. To this union they had 9 children, with 3 dying at birth or shortly after.

He was a farmer along side of his father, and had a very deep voice. My dad said as a child it scared him.

He and Maggie were going to Kansas to see their first grandchild (My dad Ray Edward Frisk) who had been born just 3 months before when she injured and died. Unknown when Doc did see his grandson the first time.

He loved his Maggie and his children. When he wouldn't let his youngest daughter Rosa Belle marry at age 15, she and her beau ran off. A week later he saw his new son-in-law in town and told them since the deed was done, they may as well come home, so they moved in with him, farming the land even after he passed until retirement, then sold the land and divided the money among all the hairs. My Dad got something like $3.00 for his share, since the land had been owned by his Great Granddad Amos, who had 26 children.

In later years in his life he did travel to California a couple of times, so my Dad was able spend time with him. He also visited other family on his way. A sister in Oklahoma and also a Uncle, plus others I am sure.

We do not know or have forgotten the story of the cause of his death. No Death Certificate has been found.

He's my Paternal Great Grandfather
