Reba Emma Cunningham of Wagoner died Tuesday, April 18, 1995, at the age of 79. She was born April 16, 1916, in Cane Hill, Arkansas, to Thomas and Maude (Shearer) Asher. She married George L. Cunningham, who preceded her in death on August 7, 1983. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy, on August 20, 1990, and two sisters, Lois Asher in 1930 and Alma Hendrix in 1986. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wagoner, where she was in the Chancel Choir and Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed children and loved tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth and his wife, Donnis of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Kurt Cunningham of Wichita, and Sydney Cunningham of Tulsa; sisters, Gladys Gadberry of Wagoner, Jeanne Gaines of Pleasant Hill, California and Tommie Mannon of Wagoner; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 22, 1995, in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ann Lamar Ruede officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home. The family prefers memorials to the First Presbyterian Church of Wagoner.
