MRS. BROWN DIES, SERVICES THURSDAY

Services will be held at 2:30pm Thursday in the Hersman Chapel for Mrs. Maud Latta (Shearer) Asher-Brown, who died Monday night in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Pastor Frank Young, of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Brown was born July 9, 1893 in Morrow, Arkansas, and moved to Wagoner 45 years ago. She was a member of the Wagoner First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Tommie F. Mannon, Mrs. Gladys E. Gadberry and Mrs. Reba E. Cunningham, all of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Mrs. Imogene (Jeanne) Gaines of Concord, California and Mrs. Alma Hendrix of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Dr. W.F. Shearer of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Mrs. Kate Norwood of Norwalk, California; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She will be laid to rest beside her first husband, Thomas Mack Asher, in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman Funeral Home of Wagoner.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Wilkey, Oras Gadberry, Alan Hicks, Frank Brown, Andrew Cooper and Harmon Cunningham.
