Services for Mrs. Alma M. (Asher) Hendrix, 73, of Wagoner were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hersman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Walton officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walt Butterfield, Gary Curtis, Randy Hendrix and Tim Hendrix.
Born June 10, 1913 in Lincoln, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Thomas M. and Maud (Shearer) Asher. Mrs. Hendrix died Saturday at Shawnee Medical Center. In 1933, she married Wilby Hendrix in Wagoner. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Billy of Tecumseh, Wilby, Jr., of Greenville, Texas, and Jerry Lee of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Barbara Curtis of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Tommie Faye Mannon, Reba Cunningham and Gladys Gadberry, all of Wagoner, and Imogene Gaines of Pleasant Hill, California; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
