FUNREAL(sic) SERVICE FOR ALLEN WILL BE HELD TODAY
MURPHY - Funeral services for James Riley Allen, 74, who died Tuesday at this home in Patrick, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday in Snow Hill church. The Rev. S.M. Wolfe will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A farmer, Mr. Allen had lived in the Patrick section of Cherokee county for 10 years.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Viola Allen; six sons, Elden, Luther, Wilford. and J.D. of Patrick, Marshall of Lenoir City, Tenn., and Grady of Murphy; four daughters, Mrs. Oscar Griffithy, Mrs. Dolphus Towe, and Mrs. Ona B. Towe of Ducktown, and Mrs. Glenn Hamby of Patrick; tw3o brothers, Henry of Patrick, and Houston of Texas; four sisters, Mrs. George Grimm of Oklahoma, Mrs. Bert Reed of Vest, Mrs. John McDonald of Unaka, and Mrs. Fuller Nelson of Hiwassee Dam.
Ivie funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
