I am a retired History teacher. I am working on connecting & linking the Metcalf descendants of the three Metcalf brothers who settled in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee in the 1790's. My grandparents & great grandparents & great great grandparents are buried in Madison County along with many Uncles & Aunts & Cousins. As you know many families were large in the 1800's. The same is true with the Metcalfs & Corns & Lisenbees which lived in Madison County in the 1800's.
