CLEARFIELD--Mrs. Violet Henry, 66, of 869 E. 700 South, Clearfield, died Saturday morning at her home of natural causes.

Mrs. Henry was born December 6, 1899,in Ione, Nevada, a daughter of Joseph and Caroline Nielsen Le Beau.

She was married to Merrell Henry on November 24, 1917, in Vernal, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 22, 1929.

She spent her early life in the Vernal area and had lived in Clearfield for the past 18 years.

She had been a volunteer worker through the American Legion at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City for the past 18 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a member of the Clearfield LDS Fourth Ward and was a Relief Society visiting teacher. She was a past president of the Relief Society in Colorado Springs, Colorado and taught in the Primary at Vernal.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Maurice M. Henry, Vernal; Lawrence L. Henry, Orem; seven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Elmaida Freestone, Vernal.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at the Clearfield Stake House with Bishop Burton Harmer of Clearfield Fourth Ward conducting.

Friends may call at the Lindquist Clearfield Mortuary Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until 11:30 a.m. Burial in Sandy City Cemetery.

Bishop Burton Harmer of the Clearfield Fourth Ward will officiate.

Friends may call at the Lindquist Clerfield Mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday until 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Sandy City Cemetery.

Violet was a fastidious homemaker.

In her short biography she reported that she had a very hard and sad childhood. She and Merrell had four children: Maurice M. (1918 - 1969), Mildred (1920 - 1962), Lawrence L (1922 - 2004), and Violet Leora (1927 - 1941).

While living in Clearfield she worked as a nurse at the hospital, was recognized for her service American Legion Women's Auxillary, and her service to church and community. She also spent time crocheting.
