Albin Frank Janek, 78, of Route 7, Waco, died Wednesday morning, June 1, 1988, at a local hospital.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. June 2, 1988 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco, with Monsignor Ed Rabroker as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery in West.

Mr. Janek was born May 23, 1910 in West, where he attended school. He served in the Army during World War II and married Evelyn Ferguson on Nov. 18, 1946. They moved to Waco in 1951. Mr. Janek worked for Waco Chevrolet as an automobile mechanic for 17 years and worked at Steakley Chevrolet for about one and a half years. He later worked for Farmers Tractor Supply Co. for 16 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco.

Pallbearers: Bert King, Neil Gates, Pat Neal, Jonathan Janek, Robert Edward Cervenka and Anton V. Rejcek.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Janek of Waco; three daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Mary Frances) Karlik of Richardson, Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Devere of The Woodlands, Tx., and Mrs. Danny (Monica) Wright of Waco; one son, Robert Charles Janek of Waco; one brother, Louis R. Janek of West; four grandchildren, Allison and Marcus DeVere, Jeffery Karlik and Natalie Wright, and several nieces and nephews.
