Micahel J. Malinski, 81, of Park Hills, Mo., formerly of Cahokia, Ill, born Sept. 18, 1928, in Tamaroa, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Country Meadows Nursing Home in Park Hills, Mo.

Mr. Malinski was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital where he worked in the Housekeeping Department. He was a member of the Teamster Local 600, and Emanuel Assembly of God Church in Cahokia, Ill.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Anna, nee Kurts, Malinski; and his brothers, Charles, John, Kenneth and Joseph Malinski.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Juanita D., nee Tripp, Malinski; his daughter, Debra (Edward) Bennett of Park Hills, Mo.; three sisters, Marie Heine of Tamaroa, Ill, Anna Marie Wynn of Liberty, Mo., and Mildred (Harry) Morgan of DuQuoin, Ill.; a granddaughter, Heather (Patrick) Zimmerman of Farmington, Mo.; and a great-grandson, Zachary. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home in Cahokia, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
