E. C. "Abston, 82, of Spearman died Thursday, Feb. 28.
Mr. ABSTON was born in Blair, Okla. He moved to Spearman in 1964 from Odessa. He was manager of Whitehouse Lumber Co., retiring in 1976. He married Beulah FORD in 1932 at Ardmore, Okla. He was a member of Hansford Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Sam ABSTON of Spearman; a sister, Mattie TAYLOR of Calgary, Canada; two granddaughters, Regina ABSTON of Spearman and April BONHAM of Amarillo; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 2 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd DYESS, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Hansford Cemetery.
