Steele Services Are Held Monday

Esther Steele, 79, who resided in Hale's Nursing Home, died Nov. 4 in Pauls Valley General hospital. She was born June 27, 1897, at Ada, Ark., and moved to California in 1941. She returned to Oklahoma in the late 1950's.

Services were held Nov. 8 at 2:00 p.m. in Bahner Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Brad Humphrey officiating. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery, and Bahner Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Willie Warren, Ebb Hale, Odell Orr, A. P. Bolton, George McNeely, and Charles Ayers.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorthy Mills of Lakeside, Calif.; a grandson, John Mills of North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Oleta Steele of Orange, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Taylor of Duncan, Okla.; and three brothers, Elmer Abston of Spearman, Tex., Sewell Abston of Oklahoma City, and Edgar Abston of Marlston, Ark.
