Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bates died Thursday at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Lawrence County.
She was a member of Moulton Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Bates; and one brother, Bertis Hagood of Falkville.
Pallbearers will be Casey Terry, Keith Terry, Bobby Cushing, Arthur Cushing, James Roberts and Gregg Dutton.
