Mrs. Hagood Dies Sunday
MOULTON -- Mrs. Mary Alma Hagood, age 67, Moulton, died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence County hospital. She had been ill since Wednesday when she suffered a heart attack. The body will be returned to the residence late today and will remain there until services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gum Springs Baptist church, east of Hatton.
Rev. Silas Lang and Rev. George Fretwell will conduct the services and burial will follow in Ferguson cemetery with Elliott of Moulton directing.
Survivors include her husband, Tol Hagood, Moulton; six sons, Belton, Gadsden; Alfred, Leighton; Ulysses, Town Creek, Rt.1; Norris of Moulton; Carl of Chicago, Ill., and Burtis of Moulton.
Four daughters, Mrs. Berth Odell of Huntsville; Mrs. Minnie Guilfoil, New Orleans, La.; and Mrs. Cora Lee and Dessie Mae Hagood both of Moulton.
Other survivors include two brothers, Richard Patterson of Florence, and McKinley Patterson of Leighton; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Terry, Moulton; Mrs. Alice Welch, and Mrs. Minnie Myers both of Kosclusko, Miss.; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
