Michael Kilduff arrived in the United States from Ireland, sometime in the 1840's,making his home in Bristol ,Ct. He was employed by the Bristol Brass Co. from 1850 to his death in 1889. On August 15 1851 ,Michael married Margaret Leavy in New Britain Ct., with Father Luke Daly officiating. They made their home on South St(on what is now part of Memorial Blvd.) ,and also owned property on Riverside Ave/Blakelee St.(across from the Downs Mill) as well as on King St. Michael and Margaret were the parents of 10 children. He Died of Pneumonia on January 15, 1889. The Bristol Press in its January 17,1889 edition referred to him as "one of our oldest and most esteemed citizens."
