She was the daughter of
Joshua & Mary E. 'Matilda' McCartney Eckman.
She was married to Joseph M. Beyer
on 4 October 1877.
They came to Punxsutawney in 1880,
where he established the Beyer Drug Store
in the Brennan Building on West Mahoning Street.
They built their home ten years later on
200 Rockland Avenue and she had lived there for
the past 52 years.
She leaves 5 daughters & 2 sons:

~ Mrs. Lee North,
~ Frederick W. Beyer,all of Punxsutawney;
~ Dr. J. Walter Beyer,
~ Mrs. Emma Gordon of Tulsa,Oklahoma,
