MOULTON -- Funeral for William Byars Alexander, 84, of Moulton will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with the Rev. Darryl Wood officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Alexander died Saturday at Lawrence County Hospital. He was born March 15, 1910, in Lawrence County, attended Moulton Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. He was married to the late Audrey Wade Alexander and had a son, the late William "Buzz" Alexander.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Alexander; five sons, John Michael Alexander and Phillip Eric Alexander, both of Birmingham, Paul Jackson Alexander of Burlington, N.C., Joseph Lawrence Alexander of Alexander City and Maj. Samuel Winston Alexander of Woodbridge, Va.; five daughters, Glenda Alexander Hamilton, Elene Boyette McAbee, Melba Boyette Seay and Janet Boyette Etheredge, all of Moulton, and Cathryn ALexander Bickley of Tuscumbia; three sisters, Myrtie Karrh of Hale Center, Texas, Evelyn Mathews of Birmingham and Marjorie Francis of Decatur; 25 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
