Luke Alexander Buried Tuesday

The funeral over the remains of Luke Pryor Alexander, who died at his home about three miles northwest of town on Sunday, was held last Tuesday and the body was interred just west of his home at a point which he had selected some time before his death.

In the death of Mr. Alexander the community looses one of the best citizens. Luke Alexander was a man who during his life time devoted his entire time in trying to attend to his own business, and as he had often said, when he was not busy looking after his own affairs he was busy trying to let the other man's business alone.

He was 38 years old at the time of his death. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Alexander, both of whom preceded him to the grave.

He is survived by a wife and six children, two brothers and one sister.

In October, 1906 he was married to Miss Carrie Byars. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and the Woodmen of the World.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Flavil Hall who was here holding a revival at the Church of Christ, who paid the deceased many high tributes.

The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
