Mrs. Sophia Jenkins,age 87, wife of the late John H. Jenkins, died Tuesday afternoon at her home in Big Beaver township, death being due to the infirmities of old age. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hennon, pioneer settlers of the vicinity and had lived here all her life. She was a member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. Surviving her are two sons and two daughters, W.T. Jenkins of Big Beaver township, Joseph R. Jenkins of New Galilee, Mrs. Robert Buchanan of Big Beaver township, and Mrs.H.J. McCready of Wampum, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two brothers, James Hennon of West Chester, Ia and Amaziah Hennon of Big Beaver township.
Funeral services will be held from the residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Harry E. Woods officiating and internment will be made in White cemetery, New Galilee.
