DEATH OF MR. GIBSON
Aged Citizen of Smith Station Passes Away
~Mr. Henry A. Gibson, aged 75 years, died at his residence at Smith's Station, Ala., at one o'clock yesterday afternoon. He had been serious ill for the last three weeks with a cancer.
~Mr. Gibson was a member of the Methodist church and a man noted for his piety and uprightness. He was also a member of the Masonic fraternity, and during the war was a member of Waddell's confederate artillery, raised in this city.
~Besides his wife he is survived by four children, Mr. Henry Gibson, Jr., Mrs. William Sturkey, Mrs. B.F. Stanford, of Smith's Station, and Mrs. Hurt, of Opelika.
~The funeral services will take place at the late residence this morning at eleven o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. J.W. Hamner. The interment will be at Mr. Zion Cemetery.
