HALLS - Doris Cates, 83, homemaker, died Tuesday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Halls Cemetery. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Mrs. Cates, the widow of Clydie Cates, leaves three daughters, Lannette Hilliard, Nina Bowie and Judy Newman, and a son, Danny Cates, all of Halls; two brothers, Arnold Hilliard of Halls and Gaylon Hilliard of Memphis, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Enon Baptist Church Building Fund.
