George Wallace Fitzgerald died suddenly at his home Friday.

Mr. Fitzgerald was born on Feb 1, 1890 a son of Edward and Gertrude Tanksley Fitzgerald.

For some years he had been an employee of the city of Staunton.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith S. Fitzgerald, two sons; Winifred and Stuart; two daughters Betty Jane and Mrs. Ulysses Campbell all at home, his mother Mrs. Gertrude Ingram of Staunton;step-brother Alger Ingram and step-sister Mrs. Lennis Elick of Oak Hill, W Va.

Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of the Lewis Street Church of the Brethren.
