According to my paternal grandmother, Christena Elizabeth (Baker) Greer, i.e., the eldest sister of Charles Arthur Baker, he was in a serious motorcycle accident years prior to his death (date unknown) and the stroke which killed him was, in some way, related to his motorcycle accident.
According to his step-daughter, Beverly Fawcett, we have this quote regarding him: "Chuck was a driven person, smoked heavily, worked long hours, had high blood pressure, did not believe in doctors. I guess the Baker family knew of the motorcycle accident that left him with a badly crippled leg."
