Jacob and Susanna farmed in the White Lake, Stickney and Plankinton, South Dakota areas. Due to an asthma problem, they moved to Wisconsin in 1920. While there they farmed, and Jacob worked for and retired from the Milwaukee Railroad.
Jacob is survived by three sons, Nicholas, Bernard and Herman; three daughters, Marie, Armella and Adaline; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
Jacob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Susanna, two daughters, Marie and Genevieve; and one son, Peter.
