James Harold Dake.Harold was born in Mt. Auburn, Ia. on Dec. 24, 1901 to parents Clarence Dake and Nina F. Ellsworth. On July 2, 1927 in Independence, Buchanan Co, Iowa, he married Erma Grace Reid (born July a12, 1911 - died April 20, 1985) His occupation was a Mechanic for Benton Co. Highway Commission. The family moved to Vinton, IA some time before 1938. He retired in 1967. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Vinton. He died in Vinton, Iowa on Apr. 24, 1983. He is buried in Vinton, Iowa at Evergreen Cemetery.
