Anna Vergot Cannon, 86, of Moundsville, West Virginia, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 in her home.
She attended Steelton High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Women's Army Corps.
She was born in Steelton, PA on May 24, 1923 to the late Steve & Frances Bratina Vergot and was preceded in death by her husband Ramith E. "Bud" Cannon, and five brothers and sisters.
Anna is survived by two sisters, Tillie Pilsitz, Steelton and Frances Rust, Pahrump, Nevada; two brothers, Frank Vergot, Tampa, Florida and Fred Vergot, Harrisburg.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in St. Francis Xavier Church, Moundsville, West Virginia. Entombment with military honors was provided by Moundsville Veteran's Honor Guard and was held in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Moundsville, West Virginia. Local arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
