1992 Obituary: KIMBERLY, Idaho
Martha Myrtle Tolman Freestone, 95, of Kimberly, died Sunday, Nov 29, 1992, at the Twin Falls Care Center of a short illness.
She was born Sept 30, 1897, in Oakley, the daughter of Joshua A and Mary Jane Gorringe Tolman. On Oct 6, 1920, she married Perrie Freestone in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Myrtle moved from Oakley to Kimberly in 1928.
She was active in the LDS Church all her life and held many leadership positions. She never complained or said a bad word about anyone. She looked forward to her birthday parties and Christmas Eves with her children and many grand and great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Survivors include three sons, Ferris and Virginia Freestone of Hansen. Arlow and Norma Freestone of Monticello, Utah, and Perrie and Janet Freestone of Twin Falls; three daughters, Inez and Paul Watkins of Hagerman, Camilla and John Stout of Kimberly and Aline and Denzil Rogers of Albuquerque, N.M., 27 grandchildren; 88 great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, her parents, six brothers and six sisters.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kimberly LDS Stake Center, 3857 N 3500 E, with Elder Gary Stewart, Kimberly 1st Ward bishop's counselor conducting. Interment will follow at the Marion Cemetery in Oakley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Kimberly Funeral Chapel and from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
