Rev. Andy Clyde "Jay" Guy, 86, of 115 Gap Creek Road, died December 25, 2007, at Valley Falls Terrace.
A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Ervin and Bessie Kuykendall Guy, he was a Retired Church of God minister, a retired employee from Lyman Printing and Finishing, a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran and a member of Startex Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Dickson Guy of the home; a daughter, Peggy Wright of Startex; one sister, Gertrude Smith of Moore; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Guy was predeceased by a son; three brothers, Melvin Guy, Paul Guy and Elbert Guy; and a sister, Mamie Rogers.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Startex Church of God, conducted by Rev. J.H. Hammond. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of grandson, Tony Bentley, 101 Chase Court, Moore, SC.
