Gertrude Guy Smith, 90, of Moore, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Bushy Creek Cottages.
Born on September 21, 1927 to the late Ervin Charles "Charlie" and Bessie Elizabeth Kuykendall Guy; wife of the late Clarence David Smith for seventy-one years.
Employed at Startex Mills for fifty-five years; a member of Sharon United Methodist Church since 1944.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Wilson (Jack) of Moore; three grandchildren, Koey Nicholson (Ronda) of Greenville, Jack Wilson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, and Malinda W. Willits (Brent) of Pensacola FL; five great-grandchildren, Riley Nicholson, Carly Willits, Madison, Hayden and Hudson Keller.
Predeceased by two sisters, Nell Guy Patton and Mamie Guy Rodgers; four brothers, Paul, Melvin, Elbert and Jay Guy.
Funeral Service were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Sharon United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryson Williams officiating. Burial was held at Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials be made to Sharon United Methodist Church, PO Box 418, Reidville, SC 29375.
