Though his tombstone spells his surname as Frazer, the census and all but one of the many Ancestry references to him spell it Frazier. His relatives have used both spellings.

In the fall of 1870, Nancy & Eli moved their family to Bangor, Marshall Co Iowa, where a new Quaker church had been established (it's still there today, although the town is not). They settled on the prairie just northwest of town. Eli Branson Frazier died only a few months later on Feb 25, 1871, leaving Nancy with a family of 6 children to raise by herself. Later, Nancy moved into Bangor town, and then at the end of her life lived with her youngest daughter Julia Ann (Frazier) Way in Marshalltown, Marshall Co Iowa.
