He was born at Clearfield Oct. 14, 1937, a son of Alonza Blake Maines and Freda (Mullen) Maines. He was a former member of the United States Navy.
Surviving Mr. Maines, his wife, the former Mildred L. McFaye ; four children: Connie, Patricia, Mary Louise and Michael; his parents; two brothers; Fred of Leviltown and John of California; and two sister: Mrs. Ray Jacox of Rochester, N.Y. and Catherine, at home.
He was preceded in death by a brother; A. Blake Maines Jr.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home with burial following in Crown Crest Memorial Park. The Rev. W. W. Willard Jr. will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and until time of services Monday.
Members of the Eagles lodge will conduct memorial services at the funeral home Sunday night.
