SUDDEN DEATH CAME TO SAM'L SEYMOUR
After eating a hearty meal and stepping to the front veranda at his daughter's residence, Mrs. Washington Overly, of the Marietta pike, where he was spending the day, Samuel Seymour, aged 74 years, dropped dead Sunday noon. Dr. Leslie was caned and pronounced dead due to cerebral hemorrhage. About a year ago Mr. Seymour suffered a slight stroke of apoplexy. He has been ailing for the last four years.
Samuel Seymour, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Seymour, was born in Ross county, October 15, 1842. He is survived by his wife and eight children: Paul, of Amanda, and George, Marshall, Sherman and Samuel, of near this city, and Mrs. Washington Overly, of near this city; Clara at home, and Mrs. Laura Woolford, of Fairfield county. A brother, Albert, of Springfield township, and a half-sister, Mrs. Stella Ford, of Fairfield county, also survive.
In the death of Mr. Seymour, the county loses a good citizen, the family a good father and husband, and me community a good neighbor. He had a host of friends who will hear of his death with grief. For the past eighteen years the deceased has been engaged in the fertilizer business near the city. About a year ago he retired from business on account of his health.
The funeral will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. A. Orr officiating. Interment will be made in Greenlawn cemetery.
