West Memphis -- Myra Lou Chism Briggs, 78, co-owner of Briggs Furniture Store, died Saturday at Bell Trace Health and Living Center in Bloomington, Ind. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at West Memphis First Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of the Frank C. Steudlein Leaning Center Board of Directors and East Arkansas Sheltered Workshop. Mrs. Briggs, the wife of Cecil Briggs, also leaves a son, Carl Briggs of Bloomington; a brother, Charles Kendig of Little Rock, and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to East Arkansas Sheltered Workshop.
