Willard B. 'Cotton' Hubbard, 85, who spent most of his life in Panama, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 30, 1997 at Hillsboro Health Care Center.
The funeral at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at Patton Memorial Home will be conducted by the Rev. Douglas McCracken of Reno, and burial will be in Union Cemetery, Panama.
He was born Sept. 25, 1911 in St. Elmo, one of 12 children of William and Alice (Logue) Hubbard. He married Clarcy A. Wall on Nov 8, 1935 at Jerseyville, and she died this past Dec 2 1996.
Mr. Hubbard had worked for Nickel Plate Railroad and as a construction laborer, retiring about 1974. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are a brother and sister, Orville Hubbard and Genevieve Allen, both of Sorento.
Deceased brothers and sisters are Woodrow, Richard, Harry, James, Leo, Floyd and Ralph Hubbard, Myrtle Pieler and Ruth Johnson.
