J L KIRKLAND, 69, DIES AT JACKSON - J L Kirkland, 69, a resident of the
Duncan vicinity for 13 years and a pioneer in Oklahoma, died at Jackson,
Miss. at 4 PM Monday, following a heart attack. He was visiting his
daughter, Mrs. Emily Bradley, when stricken. Kirkland had retired from
active farming and had been visiting his daughter for the past month. His
farm home is north-east of Duncan. The body is due Wednesday noon at
Marlow. Services will be arranged by the Steele Funeral Home. Survivors
include his widow, two sons, Bill and T J Kirkland, 807 Elder, and four
daughters, Mrs. Opal Adair of Corpus Christi, Tx., Mrs. Lora Bitting of
Laredo, Tx. Mrs. Mildred Littrell of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs.
Bradley of Jackson, Miss.
