9:30 am. Sunday in a Comanche nursing home after a long illness.
Service will be at 2 pm. Tuesday at the Fair Baptist Church, with Rev Ed
Floyd, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery, under the
direction of Morehead Funeral Home.
Kirkland was born April 7, 1905 in Chickasha. He retired in 1977 from his
work as an oilfield pumper and was a member of the Fair Baptist Church.
Kirkland and his wife, Addie Alice Boulware, were married Aug 25, 1934 at
Duncan.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Gerald Ray (Jerry)
Kirkland, Colleyville, Texas; one daughter, Shirley Sue Dowlen, Walters;
one brother, T J., Frisco, La; one sister, Opal Adair, Jacksonville Beach,
Fla; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Bearers will be J C Brister, Tracey Large, L D Holligsworth, Boyd
Montgomery, David Johnson and Richard Walker.
