Carl P. Hartman Sr., 99, of Guide Rock died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 1994, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Guide Rock with the Rev. Lewis Bap¬tist officiating. Burial will be in the Rosemont Cemetery in Webster County.
Mr. Hartman was born Jan. 7, 95, to Charles and Marie (Waechter) Hartman at Deweese where he lived until moving to a farm four miles south of Rosemont in 1909. He attended the University of Nebraska College of Medicine for a short time before returning to farm near Rosemont. On Feb. 2, 1919, he married Lillie Bertha Leetsch. She died in June 1956. He retired from farming in 1957. On Feb. 6, 1958, he married
Raechel Tyree of Portsmouth, Va. They lived in Guide Rock. She died in 1977.
Survivors are seven sons, Keith of Guide Rock, Kenneth of Fort Collins, Colo., Edwin of Ogallala, and Delbert, Duane, Marlin and Marvin, all of Hastings; one brother, Fred of Walnut Creek, Calif.; 28 grandchildren;. 52 great-grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.
