Carl Albin Anderson was born March 15, 1884 near Wahoo, Nebraska, and passed away at the age of 58 years and 15 days. He passed away at Osceola after a serious illness of several weeks.
He was the son of Emily and Anton Anderson. He moved to a farm near Osceola with his parents when he was 13 years of age. Albin was Confirmed in 1905 from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Osceola, a member of the first confirmation class.
He was married to Mabel Hamilton December 8, 1915 and to this union were born five children, one son Carl preceded him in death.
Mr. Anderson was a well known farmer having farmed near Osceola for the last 35 years. He also served as president of the school board for many years.
He also farmed in North Dakota for two years. He has been in good health until he suffered his first stroke on November 4, 1941. He recovered sufficiently to be able to be up and about. On March 7, 1942 he suffered a second stroke from which he never recovered.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Mabel and four children: Mrs. Doris Anderson of Omaha; Mary Jean, Richard and Donald at home; also a son-in-law, Ellsworth Anderson of Omaha; one sister Emma Nyquist of Osceola and eight half brothers and sisters; Hilma Herrmann of Hayward, California. Selma Peterson of Stromsburg, Oscar of Norfolk. Herman of Stromsburg, Mary Gerdes of Osceola, Albert and John of Osceola and Wilmer of Stromsburg; also several nieces and nephews.
All brothers and sisters attended with the exception of Hilma of California. Funeral services were held from the home and at the Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon, April 2, conducted by Mr. Bexell assisted by Dr. Trued of Stromsburg.
