William Boyd Sherry,of RD3 Brookville,died Monday,
February 9,1998, at the Pennsylvania Memorial Home
in Brookville.
He was born Jan. 29, 1910, in Ringgold, a son of the
late Melvin I. & Carrie Hinderliter Sherry. He was married on Aug. 24, 1931, in Coolspring, to Ethel Dora Keller Sherry, who preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 1984.
He was a miner, an auto painter and worked as a carpenter for Shaffer Home Improvements of Brookville.
He is survived by two daughters, Leora M. Myers of New Castle, and Dixie L. Thomas of RD3, Brookville;
six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
three great-great-grandchildren;
two brothers: Merle Sherry of Driftwood
and Ellis Sherry of Virginia;
and four sisters: Alice Gross of Punxsutawney,
Mary Smith of Driftwood,
Joanne Curry of Alaska
and Ethel Moyer of Texas.
He was also preceded in death by
two sisters: June Sweet and Catherine Collins;
seven brothers: Herbie Sherry, Bernard Sherry,
Phillip Sherry, Theodore Holmes, Delbert Holmes,
Jess Holmes and Mervin Holmes.
a funeral service will be held at the Goble Funeral Home in Brookville,with the Rev. Randy Rupert officiating.
Burial will follow in the Coolspring Cemetery.
