She was born June 5, 1918 in Broughton, the daughter of George and Mary Trout Mundy. She was a lifetime resident of White County.
Surviving are her husband, Omer; five sons, Charles and John Acord, both of Woonsocket, R.I., and Raymond, Carl, and George Acord, all of Carmi; four stepsons, William, Clyde, Wilford and Daten Acord, all of Kokomo, Ind., six daughters, Gertie Browning, Faye Mitchess, Vonda Dunn and Mary Jordan, all of Carmi, Rosie Doneghue of Louisville, Ky. and Wilma Martinelli of Woonsocket; one step-daughter, Bessie Mundy of Kokomo; and three brothers, Clyde Mundy of New Haven, and Eddie Mundy and John Mundy, both of Kokomo.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kittinger-Fair Funeral Chapel, with interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
